Harveys are delighted to have sourced an exciting range of Alsace wines from Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar. Founded in 1895 the Domaine Viticole de la Ville de Colmar enjoys a particularly privileged situation in the heart of the vines of Alsace. The winery owns a variety of Grand Cru Vineyards and works with grape growers to produce excellent wines from the differing soils of the Alsace region. The company is very innovative and the current managers (Mr & Mrs Jean-Remy Haeffelin) have over seen the award of the ISO 9001 certificate in 2001. This certificate is awarded in France for standards of wine production and Viticole were the 4th winery in France to receive it for all activities related to wine making.

A lovely full flavoured Tokay Pinot Gris with a little aging giving a full rounded flavour with notes of honeyed fruit. Ideal with spicy dishes and creme brulee.

Riesling Reserve Viticole de la Ville de Colmar 12 bottle
Regarded as the King of Alsace Riesling produces some lovely refreshing wines here. The stony, alluvial and clayey soils contribute to give this wine its freshness and bouquet. A crisp and refreshing wine with great freshness and flavour. This is ideal with trout, salmon, monkfish or creamy cheeses and will keep for up to 4-6 years.

Gewurtztraminer Viticole de la Ville de Colmar 12 bottles
This variety is a particularly aromatic form of the Traminer grape with Gewurtz meaning spicy.It is best suited to the Alsace climate and produces full flavoured wines with tropical fruit tones including lychees and pineapples.
The richness and weight of this wine makes it very luscious and will accompany spicy dishes and even chicken curries (Yes curries) very well. It will also match sweet dishes and tarts as well as being very drinkable on its own.
This wine will keep for 4-5 years.

Gewurtztraminer Grand Cru - Hengst 12 bottles
Located in South of Wintzenheim, the vineyard, facing South-South East, spreads on a rather steep slope between 270 and 360 m altitude. The soil is especially constituted by conglomerates and chalky marl.
Gold-yellow colour, vividness with the typical nose of this grape-variety, and wild aromas. This wine has a long lasting in the mouth, is onctuous, rich and pleasant to the palate. This harmonious dry wine gives off the characteristics of the soil where it grew.It will keep and develop for upto 10 years and will partner strong cheeses or peach or apricot desserts.
