New Wines in 2003
Australia
The Tasting Team increased the Australian Section
of the portfolio with some well made wines from the Best's vineyard
in Western Australia. The range included a quality Riesling, 2 Shiraz
wines and a Pinot Noir. The wines Harveys bought are mainly the premium
Great Western range with a shiraz being the more commercial
Victoria selection.

2 new wines from Possums Vineyard in McLaren Vale
arrived in October and offered great fruit and flavour.
California
4 new wines from California were added on the portfolio
in March with 2 quality wines from Round Hill made from the native
Zinfandel and Merlot grapes. Merlot is also the grape in a full flavoured
Prosperity wine and to add variety a lovely Medium dry Riesling wine
from Firestone (Ideal for the summer months).

Burgundies
2003 was the 1st year Harveys imported directly
from Bourgogne en Vin des Verre which made this the 2nd seperate
import company from this prestigious region. The demand for quality
Burgundies would see Harveys add another major importer to their
suppliers within 2years and offer a full range of top quality Burgundies
including wines from Romanee Conti. The tasting team were originally
persuaded as to the quality of this negocient with the following
wines.
Bourgogne Aligote
Cotes Des Beaune Village
Ladoix
Pommard Premier Cru
Nuits St. George
Gevrey Chambertin
Aloxe Corton
Morey St. Denis
