Pio cesare are a well respected wine producer in Alba, Piedmonte
and are family owned with Pio Boffa the great grandson of the founder
Cesare Pio currently running the family business. Harveys are delighted
to be stocking a range of these great wines including Barolo, Barbera,
Dolcetto, Nebiolo and Gavi thus giving the portfolio a classy North
East Italian representation. Pio Cesare own more than 50 hectares
of vineyards located in some of the most highly rated and exposed
areas of the Barolo region. The emphasis of these wines is very
much on quality.

Michael & Angela Win Trip To Santorini
Harveys promoted their Greek wines in 2006 offering
the opportunity for a trip to Santorini to the winners in a draw
held at a special Greek Dinner with Matching wines in May. The promotion
proved a huge success with many people discovering the quality and
diversity of these wines from Boutari. Harveys portfolio covered
a full range from the distinctive dry Santorini white to the Mavrodaphne
fortified wine including two full bodied reds.
The winners of the competition were Angela and Michael
Dearnley who will enjoy a weeks trip to Santorini in 2007. Santorini
was chosen as the destination because of its beautiful views and
romantic atmosphere. The island is a volcanic island which following
an eruption many centuries ago now has a beautiful Candera. It also
hosts 1 of Boutaris 7 wineries.

Wines With Real
Southern France Flavour
Harveys imported directly some CLASSIC Southern French wines from
the Rousillon region with the traditional French style which often
is lacking as many producers seek the more popular upfront
fruity flavours currently so popular.
The range included 3 red wines and 4 sweet Rivesaltes wines from
the Cotes du Rousillon region.
